John Graff
MEA Treasurer

John Graff became active in the fight equality in the military when he was honorably discharged from the Navy that he loved so much after having come out to his commanding officer. John was 9 months into his active duty career stationed at Naval Submarine Base New London in
Groton, CT training to be a sonar technician. John's discharge made national headlines and his story appeared on network news, Good Morning America and The Washington Post.

Prior to enlisting in the Navy, John worked on several campaigns ranging from Congressional to Presidential working mostly in field organizing. His work took him around the country to states like Iowa, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. John has attended numerous campaign and organizing trainings including trainings by the AFL-CIO, Democratic GAIN, Grassroots Campaigns Inc. and the NYS Democratic Party.

Although a native New Yorker and vocally proud of it John currently
lives in Alexandria, VA and works for the Democratic National
Committee in Washington, DC
