Michael Rankin
Dr.
Mike Rankin is Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and
Behavioral Sciences at the George Washington University
School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Dr. Rankin served for 24 years as a Medical Officer
in the United States Navy and Navy Reserve. He was Chief
of Psychiatry at the Oakland VA Medical Center from
l986 to l996. At the Oakland VA, Mike established and
directed mental health programs for active duty military
and veterans living with HIV and AIDS.
Mike is a life member of the Vietnam Veterans of America,
the Jewish War Veterans and the Disabled Veterans of
America, as well as the Alexander Hamilton Chapter of
the American Legion. and the American Veterans for Equal
Rights. He is also a member of the Honorary Board of
the Service Members Legal Defense Network.
A native of Arkansas, Mike lives now in Arlington, Virginia.
