About the Issue
 MEA’s
501(c)(4) component is devoted entirely to grassroots
organizing, lobbying and advocacy on the issue of “Don’t
Ask, Don’t Tell.” MEA strongly supports
the passage of the Military Readiness Enhancement Act
(MREA), a bill introduced in March 2005 by Congressman
Marty Meehan (D-MA), which would repeal “Don’t
Ask, Don’t Tell” and replace it with a policy
prohibiting discrimination against military servicemembers
based on sexual orientation. For more information about
